If you’re in Thao Dien and haven’t spent an evening at Le Café des Stagiaires, you’re missing one of the best views in the area.
Sitting right by the river, the rooftop gives you a proper Saigon sunset, with one of my favourite views in Thao Dien. It’s the kind of place where you can turn up for one drink and somehow end up staying all night.
It’s famous for a few things: the Smash Burger, a great selection of beers including La Chouffe and Vedett, and a calendar that always seems to have something going on.
But for me, it’s the community that makes it. DJs, events, meet-ups, birthdays, drinks after work, catching up with mates. There’s always something happening, and it’s become a proper staple of the Thao Dien scene.
It’s also one of those places I’d send anyone visiting Saigon. Whether you’ve just arrived, you’ve lived here for years, or you’re showing friends around the city, this is an easy win.
Great view, good beers, good food, regular events and one of the best places in Thao Dien to sit back, have a drink and watch Saigon go by.

Muốn một buổi tối ngoài trời mà không quá cầu kỳ? Le Café des Stagiaires là rooftop bar trên đường số 54, Thảo Điền (Quận 2 cũ), không gian hiện đại pha chút mộc mạc, view nhìn ra thành phố.
Menu đồ uống đa dạng với cocktail, rượu vang và bia, trong đó cocktail signature do đội bartender pha là điểm nhấn. Đi kèm là đồ ăn nhẹ và finger food từ mặn đến ngọt, hợp để gọi vài đĩa chia nhau. Nhân viên thân thiện, sẵn sàng gợi ý nếu bạn chưa biết chọn gì. Tối Sài Gòn mát trời mà ngồi đây thì hết ý.
