Chuck’s Burgers!

Chuck, the burger man himself, came here with a mission to bring the best of LA’s burger scene to Saigon, and let me tell you, he has completed that mission! Their vision was to build a place that would serve only the most mouthwatering Classic American-inspired burgers made with love and the finest ingredients—ideally located on one of the most exciting foodie streets in Saigon, Pham Viet Chanh.

Good food starts with good ingredients.

Chuck’s grind their patties to ensure they control the product’s quality. They use local produce such as Da Lat potatoes that are hand cut daily, house sweet pickles, crunchy onion rings, and crispy zucchini fries. You select your food in quite a fun way with a menu and whiteboard marker where you can build your burger. Here is what we ordered: 

• Cheeseburger, pickles, fresh onion, jalapenos, lettuce and tomato, zucchini fries, and onion rings on the side. 
• Double Cheeseburger, grilled onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, hand-cut fries on the side and sriracha mayo for the dip. We washed it down with a few ice-cold tigers. 

These burgers were indeed up there with the best Saigon has to offer; the patties are cooked in a way where you still get that lovely caramelised crisp on the patty without being an actual smash burger. However, if it is a smash burger you’re craving, feel free to ask Chuck to smash it for you! The second most crucial part of a burger is the bun; if you have a lousy bun, you have a bad burger. Chuck ensures these buns are fresh and toasted on the grill to avoid that soggy burg! As aforementioned, the ingredients are as fresh as you can get and locally sourced, which is evident in the burger. The sides are great, too, especially the hand-cut fries!
