    Our story

    Two friends, a lot of plastic stools, and a city worth sharing

    We’re Olly and Nick, two friends from the UK who fell hard for Saigon’s energy, its food, its bars and the people behind them. As we explored, we kept finding brilliant independent places flying under the radar: great restaurants, indie cafés and bars that were struggling to reach the people who’d love them most.

    So we built Saigon Scene, to connect locals, expats and visitors with the best of the city while helping independent businesses grow.

    Saigon Scene is an independent city guide and membership app for Ho Chi Minh City. We publish 166 guides to eating, drinking and things to do, run a live map of 133 happy hours, and partner with 87 independent venues that give members an offer.

    Is Saigon Scene free?

    Yes. The guides, the happy-hour map and the weekly email are free, with no account needed. The app is free to download too. Member offers at partner venues come with a membership, which you can start inside the app.

    How do member offers work?

    Open the Saigon Scene app at a partner venue and show your membership when you pay. Most partners give 10–20% off, and every offer is listed on the venue’s partner page.

    Which areas of Saigon do you cover?

    All of Ho Chi Minh City, with the most venues in District 1, Thảo Điền (District 2), Bình Thạnh, District 3 and District 7. Addresses show the new ward names from July 2025 next to the old district names.
