The short answer
For classic Taiwanese-style bubble tea, go to KOI Thé on Pasteur. For brown sugar pearls, it is Xing Fu Tang. And if you want to taste what Vietnamese milk tea has become, order an oolong milk tea at Phê La on Hai Bà Trưng. All three are in the centre of the city, and all three are open by 9am.
We first wrote this guide in 2024, and Saigon’s milk tea scene has been through a shake-out since. Comebuy closed its last Vietnamese stores on 31 May 2025. Uncle Tea and Ding Tea have gone from the centre, Heekcaa and Tiger Sugar’s District 1 shop have closed, and we could no longer verify Koicha. They are all out. In their place are the local chains that now lead the market: Phê La, Katinat and, for a 7,000₫ cup at any hour, Viên Viên. Every shop below was checked in September 2026 for address, hours and what is on the menu.
A note on addresses: Vietnam abolished district-level administration on 1 July 2025, so addresses now use ward names (Sài Gòn Ward, An Khánh Ward and so on). We give the old district too, because that is what everyone still says.

How much is bubble tea in Saigon?
Anywhere from 7,000₫ to about 65,000₫ for a regular cup, and the spread is the most useful thing to know before you order. There are three rough bands:
- Budget (7,000–30,000₫): Viên Viên’s takeaway cups at 7,000–10,000₫, and Maycha, whose basic milk tea starts at 19,000₫.
- Everyday (30,000–45,000₫): ToCoToCo, where most of the menu is 30,000–39,000₫, and Katinat’s oolong milk teas from 42,000₫.
- Premium (50,000₫ and up): Phê La’s oolong milk tea at 54,000₫, Xing Fu Tang’s brown sugar drinks at 60,000₫, and the imported Taiwanese brands.
Most shops let you choose sugar and ice levels. If you like it less sweet, ask for 50% sugar (50% đường) and 50% ice (50% đá).
1. KOI Thé

120 Pasteur, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 9am–10pm
16 Quốc Hương, An Khánh Ward (Thao Dien) · daily 9am–10pm
KOI Thé arrived in Vietnam in 2015 and is still the benchmark for Taiwanese-style bubble tea in the city. The Pasteur branch is the one to visit, with the brand’s own KOI Café next door. Note that the old Vincom Thảo Điền branch has closed, so in Thao Dien head to Quốc Hương instead.
Order this: the Golden Bubble milk tea (Trà Sữa Trân Châu Hoàng Kim).
2. Xing Fu Tang

18A2 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 7am–10pm
99 Võ Nguyên Giáp, An Khánh Ward (Thao Dien) · daily 7am–10:30pm
Xing Fu Tang is the brown sugar specialist. Its signature is torch-caramelised pearls in brown sugar syrup, served over fresh milk. The brand’s own instruction is to stir 18 times before you drink it. Its drinks are 60,000₫, so it is a treat rather than a daily habit. The central branch on Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai is new; the older ones in District 4 and District 10 have closed.
Order this: brown sugar pearl fresh milk (Sữa Tươi Trân Châu Đường Đen), 60,000₫. For something lighter, the lychee and lotus seed tea (Trà Vải Hạt Sen).
3. Phê La

Photo via Google Maps
125 Hai Bà Trưng, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 7am–10pm
Also at 1–3 Phan Chu Trinh by Bến Thành Market, and 125 Hồ Tùng Mậu
Phê La is what happened when Vietnamese milk tea grew up. It opened in Hanoi in March 2021, now has more than 35 stores, and built its name on Vietnamese specialty oolong rather than tapioca pearls. Strictly, then, this is milk tea rather than bubble tea, but it belongs on any milk tea list in 2026. The Hai Bà Trưng branch has more than 1,000 Google reviews at 4.7.
Order this: Ô Long Sữa Phê La, 54,000₫. On a hot afternoon, the Si Mơ cold brew oolong with apricot and peach, 64,000₫.
4. Katinat

Photo via Google Maps
120 Hàm Nghi, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 7am–10:30pm
31 Thảo Điền, An Khánh Ward (Thao Dien) · daily 7am–10:30pm
Katinat is a Saigon café chain with more than 90 stores, and its 2026 menu is led by tea. The best sellers are oolong milk teas: Oolong Ba Lá (three-leaf oolong) and Oolong Nướng (roasted oolong), both 42,000₫ for a medium and 55,000₫ for a large. There is a brown sugar pearl black milk tea at 65,000₫ if you want the classic, and a genuinely unusual rambutan milk tea (Trà Sữa Chôm Chôm, 60,000₫) that is also on its best-seller list.
Order this: Trà Sữa Oolong Nướng. Then come back for the rambutan.
5. Gong Cha

52–54 Nguyễn Huệ, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 9am–10pm
12 Quốc Hương, An Khánh Ward (Thao Dien) · daily 9:30am–9:45pm
Gong Cha has been in Vietnam since 2014 and has 37 stores in Ho Chi Minh City, which makes it the most reliable name on this list when you just want a good cup nearby. In August 2026, Bain Capital agreed to buy the brand for more than US$635 million. The drinks to try are from its milk-foam line.
Order this: Alisan tea with milk foam (Trà Alisan), or the Oolong 3J milk tea if you want toppings.
6. Phúc Long Coffee & Tea

63 Mạc Thị Bưởi, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 7am–10:30pm
Also 42 Trần Cao Vân (District 3) and 87 Xuân Thủy (Thao Dien)
Phúc Long is the Vietnamese institution. It was founded in 1968 in Bảo Lộc, Lâm Đồng, the country’s tea-growing highlands, and now runs more than 200 stores. It is less about toppings and more about the tea itself. The branch on Trần Cao Vân has almost 2,000 Google reviews, which tells you how much of a local habit it is.
Order this: Trà Sữa Phúc Long, the house milk tea. If you prefer oolong, the Trà Sữa Ô Long.
7. ToCoToCo

150 Cống Quỳnh, Bến Thành Ward (District 1) · daily 9am–10pm
Also 152 Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên, Nhiêu Lộc Ward (District 3)
ToCoToCo is the everyday Vietnamese chain, with most of its menu between 30,000₫ and 39,000₫ and a focus on Vietnamese tea leaves, including organic jasmine green tea. It is a good-value pick for fruit teas and cheese-foam drinks. Its Thảo Điền branch on Quốc Hương has closed.
Order this: Oolong Mộc Sen with cheese foam (Oolong Mộc Sen Kem Phô Mai), 38,000₫, or the salted apricot jasmine tea (Xanh Nhài Mơ Mặn), 33,000₫.
8. Maycha

86 Nguyễn Huệ, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · daily 9am–10pm
55 Bis Cô Bắc, Cầu Ông Lãnh Ward (District 1) · daily 8am–11pm
27A Quốc Hương, An Khánh Ward (Thao Dien) · daily 8am–10:45pm
Maycha is proof that good bubble tea doesn’t have to cost 60,000₫. It has more than 60 branches, a basic milk tea from 19,000₫, and a golden pearl milk tea at 20,000₫ for a medium and 27,000₫ for a large. The Cô Bắc branch stays open until 11pm.
Order this: Trà Sữa Trân Châu Hoàng Kim, or the pomegranate tea with red pearls (Trà Lựu Trân Châu Lộc Đỏ), 30,000₫.
9. Trà Sữa Viên Viên

Photo via Google Maps
66A Nguyễn Huệ, Sài Gòn Ward (District 1) · open 24 hours
Also 149 Đề Thám (near Bùi Viện) and 423A Hai Bà Trưng
The cheapest bubble tea in the city worth drinking. Viên Viên is a Saigon-born takeaway counter selling cups for 7,000–10,000₫, and it did well enough to expand to Hanoi in April 2026. The Nguyễn Huệ branch never closes, which makes it the answer to the 2am “is anywhere open” question on the walking street. Don’t expect premium tea.
Order this: a classic milk tea with pearls, at a price that makes a second one reasonable.

How we picked
Every shop on this list was checked in September 2026: its branch addresses and hours against Google Maps, and its drinks and prices against the brand’s own menu. Where a branch had closed we removed it, and where a brand could no longer be verified we dropped it, even though it was in our earlier guide. Prices are only given where the brand publishes them. None of these shops is a Saigon Scene partner, and the order is our own view.
