Our take
Looking for something a bit different to do in Saigon? Ceramic 4U is a brilliant little date spot in Thao Dien.
The idea is simple: pick a piece of pottery, grab some paint and make it your own. They’ve got templates and plenty of colours to get you started, but you can design whatever you want.
Once you’re finished, they put your masterpiece into the kiln and a few days later, you’ve got your very own piece of pottery to take home. Which is a lot more memorable than another dinner and a couple of beers.
I came here with my girlfriend for a date and honestly, we had such a good time. It’s relaxed, creative and gives you something to actually do together, rather than sitting opposite each other wondering what to talk about.
They also have food and drinks, so you can easily make an afternoon or evening out of it.
It’s also really kid-friendly, so this works just as well for a family day out.
Great date, great activity, and something genuinely different to do in Thao Dien.
Save this one for your next date night. Saigon Scene is all about finding the stuff you didn’t know you could do in Saigon. This is The Scene.

Why You’ll Want to Glaze & Graze Here
More Than Just Pottery
Step inside and you’ll find a bright, elegant space that feels like a Pinterest board in real life. It’s cosy without being cramped, stylish without the snobbery, and full of warm, inspiring energy. Basically, the kind of place you’d hang out even if you weren’t there to paint.
Over 90 Shapes, Infinite Possibilities
Mugs, plates, vases, plant pots — you name it. With 90+ ceramic bisques and 30+ food-safe glazes from Mayco (USA), you can go subtle or go Picasso. Add in stencils, sponges, tools galore, and the only limit is your imagination (or how many cups of coffee you’ve had).
Creativity With Perks
Painting reduces stress and boost your mood, and no, you don’t need to be “artsy.” At Ceramic4You, it’s about expressing, not impressing. Your finished piece will be glazed, fired, and ready for pick-up, and you’ll leave with something genuinely one-of-a-kind, just like you.
The Vibe: Wholesome Meets High Aesthetic
This isn’t a messy backroom with tempera paints and chaos, it’s pottery but make it premium. You’ll sip on good coffee, chat with the lovely staff, maybe put on a smock (Instagrammable moment alert), and enjoy a few hours in creative flow.
Bring your mates or your mum. Or rock up solo and zen out.
