If you want proper Vietnamese food with one of the best views in the city, Luli’s Skyview should be on your list.
Just off Nguyen Hue, this is exactly the kind of place I love finding in Saigon. It’s family-run, genuinely local, and the food comes from years of family knowledge, with the grandmother of the family still making the dishes.
And you can taste it. The food is seriously good.
The view is another big reason to come. Sitting up above Nguyen Hue and looking down over the street gives you that classic Saigon feeling, especially when the city is buzzing below.
The prices are also ridiculously good for the location, and they’ve got a great happy hour, including Duvel Belgian beer.
My recommendations? Check out the happy hour, go for the chicken dishes, and if you just want something quick, cheap and easy with a beer, get the bánh mì with chips. That’s a proper Olly move.
I come here regularly with my girlfriend, and it’s genuinely become one of our favourite places in the city.
My score: 10/10.
