Our take
Sip N Play, Thao Dien 🎲
Looking for something a bit different to do in Saigon? Sip N Play is one of those places you need to know about.
It’s part bar, part restaurant, and part playground, with what I’d say is the biggest selection of board games in Saigon. You can grab a drink, get some food, pick a game and settle in for the evening.
And you don’t need to be a board game expert. Brendan, the owner, and his team are always happy to help you learn the games, which makes the whole place really welcoming, even if you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing.
The drinks are great, the venue is really nicely done, and the best part is the atmosphere. You’re not just sitting around your own table. You end up meeting people, learning new games and having a laugh with other people who are there for exactly the same thing.
It’s a great spot for a date, a group of mates, or just something different on a night out.
My score: 10/10.
Good drinks, good people, loads of games and a proper community feel.
If you’re bored of doing the same old thing in Saigon, get yourself to Sip N Play. This is The Scene.
