A buffet in Saigon costs anywhere from about 309,000₫ to 1,650,000₫ a head, and the word “buffet” tells you almost nothing about which one you are walking into. The cheapest place on this list is a Taiwanese hotpot chain in a shopping mall. The dearest is a hotel seafood spread where the price includes free-flow wine, beer and cocktails.
So this guide is ordered by price, cheapest first, rather than by some ranking nobody can check. Every price below was read off the restaurant’s own published material in September 2026, and where a venue does not publish a price we say so instead of guessing. Two venues that used to sit on this list have been taken off, and there is a note at the bottom explaining why.
| Buffet | Type | Where | Price a head | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Manwah | Taiwanese hotpot | Malls citywide | 309,000–559,000₫ ++ | Cheapest way in |
| Hoàng Yến Buffet Premier | Asian and European | Xuân Hòa Ward | 430,000–630,000₫ ++ | Group dinners |
| King BBQ | Korean BBQ | 13 branches | 449,000₫ ++ | Reliable grill |
| D’Maris | International, seafood-led | 3 branches | 508,000–638,000₫ +VAT | Families, big appetites |
| Mezz, Sofitel | Interactive international | Sài Gòn Ward | 750,000₫ ++ | Weekday business lunch |
| Viet Kitchen | Seafood, Northern Vietnamese | Sài Gòn Ward | 868,000₫ net promo | Weekend seafood |
| The LOG | Rooftop international | Sài Gòn Ward | 1,350,000–1,550,000₫ ++ | Occasions |
| La Brasserie, Nikko | Seafood, drinks included | Cầu Ông Lãnh Ward | 1,650,000₫ ++ | Date night |
Under 500,000₫
1. Manwah
Taiwanese hotpot, run by Golden Gate, in malls across the city. The entry tier is the cheapest genuine buffet on this list and the reason most people’s first Saigon buffet is a Manwah.
Four tiers, from Phong Vân at 309,000₫ up to Vạn Giai Kỳ at 559,000₫. The one most people order is Đài Ngưu Trân at 409,000₫. Prices exclude VAT, and the appetiser and dessert packages are charged separately at 39,000₫ to 69,000₫ a head, so the realistic all-in figure for the middle tier lands nearer 500,000₫ than 409,000₫. Children under a metre eat free and those between one metre and 1.3 metres pay 30 to 40 per cent.
Worth knowing: these figures come from two independent Vietnamese business reports dated June 2026, not from Manwah itself. The company only loads prices in-browser after you pick a city, so there is no published page to cite. They were a price rise on late 2025, so treat them as a floor. Hotline 1900 6622.
Order the Đài Ngưu Trân tier and skip the dessert package.
2. Hoàng Yến Buffet Premier
Ground floor, 174A Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, Xuân Hòa Ward. Lunch 11:00 to 14:00, dinner 18:00 to 22:00, seven days.
Around 80 dishes across Asian and European, and the one to go for if you are feeding a birthday table. Sea snails, cod, a beef carving station, steamed crab, salmon two ways. Grilled abalone appears on Saturday evenings and Sundays only, which is the sort of detail worth planning around.
The price is 430,000₫ to 630,000₫ a head before VAT and a 5 per cent service charge, and unlimited soft drinks are included. We could not get more precise than that band: Hoàng Yến publishes its price table as an image behind Cloudflare, so there is no readable figure anywhere online. Ring 1900 234 550 for the exact tier.
One correction worth making, because our own guide had it wrong: the branch at 11 Sư Vạn Hạnh in Vạn Hạnh Mall is the plain Hoàng Yến Buffet brand, not Buffet Premier. They are different price lists.
3. King BBQ
Korean BBQ with a grill in the table, 13 branches in the city, and the most predictable meal on this list. The Nướng Đỉnh buffet is 449,000₫ before VAT at every standard branch, rising to 499,000₫ at King BBQ Mix in Vincom Center Đồng Khởi, Sài Gòn Ward, which is the branch most visitors will walk to.
Both the grilled abalone and the salmon in butter and garlic carry the chain’s own “must try” badge, and every table gets a mixed platter to start.
The catch, and it is a real one: drinks are not included. A Coca-Cola is 29,000₫, a Heineken 45,000₫, a soju 129,000₫. Corkage on your own wine starts at 100,000₫ and climbs to 600,000₫ for a large bottle. Two beers each turns a 449,000₫ dinner into something closer to 550,000₫. Book through booking.goldsunfood.vn or ring 1900 234 546.
If you want someone else to do the grilling rather than doing it yourself, that is a different kind of evening, and our guide to Korean BBQ in Saigon covers the places that grill for you.
500,000₫ to 1,000,000₫
4. D’Maris Premium Buffet
The best-documented price on this page, and the one to pick if the measure of a buffet is how much of it there is. More than 200 dishes, live cooking stations, and a seafood counter that is the whole point of the place.
Weekday lunch is 508,000₫ and weekday dinner 608,000₫. At weekends and on public holidays it is 608,000₫ for lunch and 638,000₫ for dinner. Those figures exclude VAT and there is no separate service charge, so weekday lunch settles at roughly 549,000₫ all in. Children aged seven to 12 pay 378,000₫, four to six pay 258,000₫, and under-fours eat free. Age is counted by birth year rather than birthday, which catches people out.
Three branches: Parkson Cantavil in Thủ Đức, Pico Plaza on Cộng Hòa in Bảy Hiền Ward, and Lotte Mart on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ in Tân Hưng Ward. Lunch runs 11:30 to 15:00 on weekdays and from 11:00 at weekends, dinner 17:00 to 22:00 daily. No online booking, so use the hotline 1900 0029 or Zalo.
Prices differ in Hanoi. Do not use a figure you found for the Hanoi branch.
5. Mezz, Sofitel Saigon Plaza
Second floor, 17 Lê Duẩn Boulevard, Sài Gòn Ward. Monday to Friday, 12:00 to 14:30, one sitting.
This is a weekday lunch and nothing else. There is no dinner buffet and no weekend service, which is worth knowing before you plan a Saturday around it. The room is built around a custom bright yellow Molteni stove with live stations ringed around it for Asian dishes, barbecue and sushi, and the phở is made to order rather than sitting in a vat.
750,000₫ for an adult and 375,000₫ for a child aged six to 11, before 5 per cent service and VAT, so about 850,000₫ all in. Two things take the sting out: a Lunch Club Card gives a free visit after five, and ALL Accor Plus members get 30 per cent off food, which brings an adult down to roughly 525,000₫ before tax.
Booking is required 24 hours ahead on +84 28 3824 1555. It is marketed as a business lunch and it behaves like one.
6. Viet Kitchen, Renaissance Riverside
Ground floor, 8 to 15 Tôn Đức Thắng, Sài Gòn Ward. Friday and Saturday only, 18:00 to 22:00.
A seafood buffet with a Northern Vietnamese menu running alongside it, which is an unusual pairing in a hotel and the reason to come here rather than to one of the bigger seafood spreads. River views from the ground floor.
The list price is 1,350,000₫ before tax and service, but it is currently promoted at 868,000₫ net, and the difference between those two words matters: net means VAT and service are already in, and the promotional rate includes a non-alcoholic drinks package. At that price it is the best value hotel buffet in the city by a distance. Book through the hotel’s own reservation system or ring (028) 3822 0033.
Whether a weekday or lunch service exists is not published anywhere. Only the Friday and Saturday dinner is confirmed.
Over 1,000,000₫
7. The LOG
Rooftop of the GEM Center, 8 Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, Sài Gòn Ward. Dinner only, 18:00 to 23:00.
Two tiers: the Curated Buffet at 1,350,000₫ and the Premium Buffet at 1,550,000₫, both before VAT and service, and both including soft drinks and still water. A free-flow wine package adds 250,000₫ a head.
What separates the two tiers is not published, and we could not establish it. Presumably the seafood and the better cuts. Ring 0975 002 288 and ask before you commit to the higher one, because 200,000₫ a head across a table of six is worth a phone call.
Tables are held for 30 minutes past the booking time and then released. Advance booking is strongly advised.
8. La Brasserie, Hotel Nikko Saigon
Level 2, 235 Nguyễn Văn Cừ, Cầu Ông Lãnh Ward. Dinner buffet 18:00 to 22:00 daily, single sitting. No lunch buffet.
The most expensive buffet here at 1,650,000₫ before a 5 per cent service charge and VAT, which works out around 1,870,000₫. Before you write that off, read what is in it: house wine, the cocktail of the day, beer, soft drinks, juice, coffee and tea, all free flow. At the other end of this list you are paying 45,000₫ a Heineken. Two or three drinks in and the gap narrows a long way.
Rock lobster, oysters, mud crab and blue crab, prawns, sushi and sashimi, shabu shabu, and more than 20 desserts. The detail worth planning around: lobster sashimi is served on Mondays and Tuesdays only, one portion per guest.
One Harmony members get 10 per cent off and the scheme is free to join. Seats are limited and booking is required on (028) 3929 5520.
What a Saigon buffet actually costs
The spread on this page is roughly five times from bottom to top, so “buffet” is not a price bracket. Some rough guidance, with everything checked in September 2026.
- Under 500,000₫ puts you in a mall, at a hotpot or a Korean grill, feeding yourself well. Manwah, King BBQ, Hoàng Yến.
- 500,000₫ to 700,000₫ is the big international spread with a seafood counter. D’Maris.
- 750,000₫ to 900,000₫ is a hotel dining room at lunchtime, or Viet Kitchen on its promotional rate.
- Over 1,300,000₫ is a rooftop or a hotel seafood night, and at this level you should be checking what is included before you compare.
Two things move the real number more than the headline does. Tax and service: almost every price here is quoted before VAT, and hotels add 5 per cent service on top, so add roughly 15 per cent to anything marked with a double plus. Drinks: King BBQ charges for every glass, La Brasserie charges for none. That single difference is worth more than 500,000₫ a head.
Where to go for what
- Cheapest real buffet: Manwah’s entry tier at 309,000₫.
- Feeding a family: D’Maris. Under-fours free, seven to 12 at 378,000₫, and enough choice that nobody sulks.
- A business lunch: Mezz. It is built for it, and it is only open then.
- Best value of the lot: Viet Kitchen at 868,000₫ net, drinks package included, if the promotion is still running when you read this.
- Serious seafood: La Brasserie, on a Monday or Tuesday for the lobster sashimi.
- Drinking as much as eating: La Brasserie again. Free-flow wine, beer and cocktails in the cover price.
- An occasion with a view: The LOG.
- Korean grill you cook yourself: King BBQ. If you would rather be cooked for, read our round-up of Korean restaurants in Saigon.
- Hotpot without the buffet commitment: our guide to the best hot pot in Ho Chi Minh City covers the à la carte places.
Checked and left out
Two venues that appeared on the previous version of this guide have been removed.
Hotpot Story was listed at the GEM Center rooftop, which is The LOG’s address, not theirs. Hotpot Story is a mall chain of around 50 branches and has no GEM Center location. We could not establish a working Ho Chi Minh City branch address or an official phone number, so rather than print a corrected guess we have taken it off until we can confirm one.
Bros BBQ trades as BROS KOREA 1980s and is a single restaurant rather than a chain. It is probably still trading, its own site is live and uses current ward naming, but we could not confirm it: there is no 2026 review, no booking system, and its own site lists a company address on Cách Mạng Tháng Tám while every listing puts the restaurant at 47 Nguyễn Thị Diệu. It publishes no prices at all, and the third-party figures we found contradict each other. A phone call to 028 3930 0999 would settle it and we will put it back when it does.
How we picked these
Saigon Scene is based in Ho Chi Minh City. Every buffet above was confirmed as trading in September 2026, and every price was read off the restaurant’s own website, menu or booking system except where the entry says otherwise. Manwah’s prices come from two dated June 2026 Vietnamese business reports because Manwah publishes none, and Hoàng Yến’s is a band from its booking partner because the restaurant publishes its table as an image behind Cloudflare. Both are labelled as such in the text.
The ordering is by price, lowest to highest. It is not a ranking, because a 309,000₫ mall hotpot and a 1,650,000₫ hotel seafood night are not competing for the same evening.
Addresses use the ward names that took effect in 2025 and 2026. Several of these restaurants still print the old district names on their own websites, so if an address here looks different from theirs, ours is the current one.
None of the venues on this page is a Saigon Scene partner and none of them paid to be here.
Buffet in Saigon: your questions answered
How much does a buffet cost in Ho Chi Minh City?
Between about 309,000₫ and 1,650,000₫ a head before tax, depending entirely on where you go. Manwah’s entry tier is 309,000₫, King BBQ is 449,000₫, D’Maris runs 508,000₫ to 638,000₫, and the hotel buffets at The LOG and La Brasserie are 1,350,000₫ to 1,650,000₫. Almost all of these exclude VAT, and hotels add a 5 per cent service charge, so add roughly 15 per cent. Prices checked September 2026.
Which buffet in Saigon is the best value?
Viet Kitchen at the Renaissance Riverside, if its promotional rate is still running. The list price is 1,350,000₫ before tax but it is currently sold at 868,000₫ net, meaning tax and service are already included, and a non-alcoholic drinks package comes with it. For a straight cheap feed, Manwah’s 309,000₫ entry tier is the lowest genuine buffet price in the city.
Do Saigon buffet prices include drinks?
Usually not, and this is where the real difference sits. King BBQ charges separately for everything, with a Heineken at 45,000₫ and a soju at 129,000₫. Hoàng Yến includes unlimited soft drinks. The LOG includes soft drinks and water. La Brasserie at Hotel Nikko includes free-flow house wine, cocktails, beer, soft drinks, juice, coffee and tea in its 1,650,000₫ cover price, which is unusual and is most of the reason to pick it.
Are there buffets in Saigon with a seafood counter?
Yes. La Brasserie at Hotel Nikko is the biggest, with rock lobster, oysters, mud and blue crab and prawns, and lobster sashimi on Mondays and Tuesdays only. Viet Kitchen runs a seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings alongside a Northern Vietnamese menu. D’Maris is seafood-led across all three branches, and Hoàng Yến Buffet Premier puts grilled abalone out on Saturday evenings and Sundays.
Do children pay full price at Saigon buffets?
No, though the rules differ. D’Maris charges 378,000₫ for ages seven to 12, 258,000₫ for four to six, and nothing under four, counted by birth year rather than birthday. Mezz charges exactly half for six to 11 year olds. Manwah and the Hoàng Yến group price by height instead of age: free under a metre, 30 to 40 per cent between one metre and 1.3 metres. La Brasserie, The LOG, Viet Kitchen and King BBQ do not publish a child rate, so ask when you book.
Do I need to book a buffet in Saigon?
For the hotel ones, yes. Mezz requires 24 hours’ notice. La Brasserie says seats are limited and takes bookings by phone only. The LOG holds your table for 30 minutes past the booking time and then gives it away. King BBQ and Manwah take online bookings and can usually absorb a walk-in on a weekday, but not on a Friday or Saturday night. D’Maris has no online system, so ring the branch hotline.
