Best Vintage and Thrift Shops in Saigon (2026): 20 Places to Dig, by Neighbourhood

Twenty vintage and thrift shops in Ho Chi Minh City, grouped by neighbourhood, with addresses, ratings, hours, Instagram handles and the secondhand markets they buy from.

Best Vintage and Thrift Shops in Saigon

Saigon has quietly become one of the best cities in Southeast Asia to buy second-hand clothes. Container loads of Japanese, Korean and American vintage arrive every week, rents in the old apartment blocks are low enough for a twenty-something to open a shop on a single floor, and a generation raised on Instagram has learned to curate. The result is somewhere between Bangkok’s Chatuchak and a Tokyo backstreet, at Vietnamese prices.

This is Nick’s list. He has been working through it for a year, and we have added the shops that kept coming up while we checked his: a couple in Thảo Điền, a couple in the centre, and the markets that the curated shops buy from in the first place. We have marked which ones we have actually shopped at and which are still on the to-do list, and where a shop is women’s only we say so, because half the list is.

How to read this guide. Shops are grouped by neighbourhood so you can do them as a crawl. Every entry with a shopfront has an address, a Google rating, Sunday’s opening hours from Google, and a map link. The Instagram-only sellers are at the end: they sell from their feeds, and some will let you visit by appointment.

A housekeeping note: Vietnam abolished district-level administration on 1 July 2025, so “District 1” and “District 3” no longer formally exist. Everyone still uses them, and so do we.

District 1: the old apartment blocks and the alleys off Lý Tự Trọng

The centre is where Saigon’s vintage scene started and where it is densest. Two crumbling apartment blocks, 26 Lý Tự Trọng and 42 Tôn Thất Thiệp, hold a shop on almost every floor, and the alleys behind Lê Thánh Tôn hide the city’s oldest thrift stores. The New Playground, the basement streetwear mall next to 26 Lý Tự Trọng, is the landmark: go in through the art shop beside it and take the stairs up, and you will find vintage shops on different floors of the building above.

1. Vintage Hearts 90s

Vintage Hearts 90s, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Vintage Hearts 90s. Photo via Google Maps.

Y2K, done properly: bedazzled tops, bootcut denim, chunky belts and the kind of going-out pieces that were everywhere in 2003. Owner Hương Nguyễn started online in the summer of 2021 and moved into the 26 Lý Tự Trọng block when the following outgrew Instagram.

It is a women’s shop, and one of the best in the building. Climb the stairs from the art shop next to The New Playground and follow the signs.

General Information

  • Address: 26 Lý Tự Trọng, Sài Gòn
  • Google rating: 4.7
  • Hours (Sun): 10 AM–9 PM
  • Instagram: @vintagehearts_90s
  • Note: Women’s. On Nick’s list; he has not been in yet.

2. Bliss Vintage 2

Bliss Vintage 2, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Bliss Vintage 2. Photo via Google Maps.

Same building, different floor. Bliss Vintage 2 holds a perfect five-star Google rating from more than 150 reviews, which in a city that reviews everything is unusual. Dresses, blouses and accessories, mostly women’s, priced for students.

Because it shares the block with Vintage Hearts, do both in one climb. The stairwells are dark; the shops are not.

General Information

  • Address: 26 Lý Tự Trọng, Sài Gòn
  • Google rating: 5.0 (154 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 10:30 AM–8 PM

3. Hebe Vintage

Room 13, second floor, up the back stairs of 42 Tôn Thất Thiệp, the other famous old apartment block in the centre. Co-founders Võ Nguyễn and Trần Thị Diệu Hương had no fashion background when they started and it shows in the best way: they buy what they like, which is 1960s and 1970s pieces with real detailing.

The signature is the denim maxi skirt, every one with different stitching, pockets or buttons. Women’s, and worth the hunt for the door.

General Information

  • Address: Room 13, 2nd Floor (Backstairs), 42, Đ. Tôn Thất Thiệp, Sài Gòn
  • Google rating: 4.0
  • Hours (Sun): 10 AM–9:30 PM

4. Vintage Maintwo

Vintage Maintwo. Photo via Google Maps.

Hidden down an alley off Lý Tự Trọng, Maintwo is where the streetwear crowd digs. VICE Football Store singles it out for Avirex leather jackets, Nike sweatshirts and, unusually for Vietnam, affordable Arc’teryx and Montbell tech pieces. Expect a Nike ACG jacket at around 600,000 VND.

It is a big mix of cheap and high-end, with more than 600 Google reviews averaging 4.9. The best all-round dig in District 1 for men.

General Information

  • Address: 156/4b Lý Tự Trọng, Bến Thành
  • Google rating: 4.9 (615 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 10 AM–9 PM

5. Mayhem Saigon

Mayhem Saigon, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Mayhem Saigon. Photo via Google Maps.

Open since 2015 and usually credited as the first thrift store in the city. Owner Anthony Trần imports mostly from Japan, repairs anything defective and sells it on under a reuse, reduce, recycle philosophy that predates the trend.

Denim jackets, graphic tees and Hawaiian shirts are the core, with bow ties, glasses, scarves and boots around the edges. It is in a dark, quiet alley off Lê Thánh Tôn; that is part of the charm.

General Information

  • Address: 136/1 Lê Thánh Tôn, Bến Thành
  • Google rating: 4.3 (320 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 10 AM–9 PM

6. the 90’s

the 90's, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
the 90’s. Photo via Google Maps.

More than a thousand Google reviews and a five-star average, which makes it the most-loved vintage shop in the centre by some distance. The name is the brief: 1990s sportswear, denim and tees, unisex, on Lê Thị Riêng near the Bến Thành end of town.

Open until 10 PM, so it works as the last stop of a District 1 crawl.

General Information

  • Address: 66 Lê Thị Riêng, Bến Thành
  • Google rating: 5.0 (1,086 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 10 AM–10 PM
  • Instagram: @the90s.vn
  • Open in Google Maps

7. 3BICH

3BICH, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
3BICH. Photo via Google Maps.

A denim specialist on Nguyễn Trãi, the street that turns into a clothing market every evening. 3BICH is the curated version of that: racks of vintage jeans and jackets sorted by fit, with a 4.9 rating from more than 160 reviews.

Open 9 AM to 10 PM every day. Go for the denim, stay for the tees.

General Information

  • Address: 385E2 Nguyễn Trãi, Cầu Ông Lãnh
  • Google rating: 4.9 (162 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 9 AM–10 PM
  • Facebook: 3bichdenim
  • Note: On Nick’s list.
  • Open in Google Maps

8. Passii Vietnam

Passii Vietnam, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Passii Vietnam. Photo via Google Maps.

Passii is a women’s second-hand brand with a warehouse out in Thủ Đức and a shopfront on Nguyễn Trãi. The name is a play on ‘pass đồ si’, passing on second-hand clothes, and the model is closer to a curated consignment store than a thrift dig.

Everything is cleaned, photographed and sized, and the website lets you check stock before you go. Women’s only.

General Information

  • Address: 145 Nguyễn Trãi, District 1
  • Google rating: 5.0
  • Hours (Sun): 9:30 AM–8:30 PM
  • Website: passii.vn
  • Note: Women’s.

9. Joe Thriftshop

Joe Thriftshop, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Joe Thriftshop. Photo via Google Maps.

On Đề Thám in the backpacker district and open until midnight, Joe’s is the shop people find by accident and come back to on purpose. Graphic tees, sports jerseys, jorts and button-ups for both men and women, with prices that undercut most of the curated shops: tees from around 200,000 VND, denim mostly under a million.

Lemon8 reviewers call it the place with the most ‘curated thrift vibe’ in the city. We agree.

10. Saigon Exotic

Saigon Exotic, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Saigon Exotic. Photo via Google Maps.

A small newcomer on Cô Bắc with a handful of five-star reviews and an afternoon-only schedule, 2 PM to 10 PM. We have not been in yet, but it is on the list because Nick keeps hearing about it.

Treat it as a wildcard on a District 1 loop and report back.

General Information

  • Address: 252F Cô Bắc, Cầu Ông Lãnh
  • Google rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 2–10 PM
  • Note: Not yet visited.

District 3: Lê Văn Sỹ, Nguyễn Đình Chiểu and the Nhiêu Lộc apartments

District 3 is the second cluster, spread along Lê Văn Sỹ and the canal-side apartment blocks. It is calmer than District 1, the shops are bigger, and the men’s selection is stronger.

11. Thriftshop Saigon

Thriftshop Saigon, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Thriftshop Saigon. Photo via Google Maps.

The one Nick has been meaning to visit. Thriftshop Saigon on Nguyễn Đình Chiểu covers the whole vintage spectrum, big graphic tees, denim jackets, vintage football shirts and basketball jerseys, and has a 4.9 rating from more than 300 reviews.

Open from 11 AM to 9 PM. If you only do one District 3 shop, this is it.

General Information

  • Address: Đường Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, Bàn Cờ
  • Google rating: 4.9 (324 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 11 AM–9 PM
  • Instagram: @thriftshop.sgvn
  • Note: Not yet visited; ‘looks decent’.

12. The Demor

The Demor. Photo via Google Maps.

Inside the Trần Quang Diệu apartment block by the Nhiêu Lộc canal. The Demor does vintage workwear, knitwear and Hawaiian shirts, plus baseball jackets and unisex tees, and Mytour puts most of its prices between 50,000 and 180,000 VND, which is market money for shop-floor quality.

Find them as the.demor on Instagram for new drops.

13. 2abnormal

2abnormal, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
2abnormal. Photo via Google Maps.

Vintage jewellery and clothing on Lê Văn Sỹ, women’s, with a perfect five-star Google rating from nearly 280 reviews. The jewellery is the differentiator: nobody else on this list does it seriously.

Open 9:30 AM to 9 PM. Instagram is where the good pieces sell first.

General Information

  • Address: 407/8 Đ. Lê Văn Sỹ, Nhiêu Lộc
  • Google rating: 5.0
  • Hours (Sun): 9:30 AM–9 PM
  • Instagram: @2.abnormal
  • Note: Women’s.
  • Open in Google Maps

14. Recall Saigon

Recall keeps a curated collection on display rather than a rummage pile. VICE Football Store sends people here for vintage varsity and leather jackets, and the shop has a soft spot for Nascar tees and band merch.

It is in District 3 and Instagram-first; we could not find a Google listing, so message them for the current address before you go.

General Information

  • Address:
  • Note: Instagram-first.

Phú Nhuận

Two small, high-rated shops north of the canal, both a short Grab from District 3.

15. The Taan

The Taan. Photo via Google Maps.

A tiny alley shop on Cầm Bá Thước with a five-star rating and a loyal following. The Taan is on Nick’s list on the strength of its Instagram, which is where most of the stock is sold before it hits the rail.

Open 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

General Information

  • Address: 21/21 Cầm Bá Thước, quận Phú Nhuận
  • Google rating: 5.0
  • Hours (Sun): 10:30 AM–9:30 PM
  • Note: On Nick’s list.

16. Hanny’s Corner

Hanny's Corner, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Hanny’s Corner. Photo via Google Maps.

Vintage clothing on Nguyễn Văn Trỗi with a perfect score from nearly 50 reviewers. We have not been, which is why it is here: the reviews are too consistent to ignore.

No hours listed on Google, so check Instagram before you travel.

General Information

  • Address: QMX8+MRJ, Đ. Nguyễn Văn Trỗi, Tân Sơn Hòa
  • Google rating: 5.0 (49 reviews)
  • Note: Not yet visited.

Bình Thạnh

One shop, but it is the one we have bought the most from.

17. Năm Bảy Lăm (Nambaylam)

Năm Bảy Lăm (Nambaylam), vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
Năm Bảy Lăm (Nambaylam). Photo via Google Maps.

Năm Bảy Lăm, ‘575’, is a vintage clothing shop in an alley off Nguyễn Gia Trí, the street everyone still calls D2. Nick has walked out of here with more bags than from anywhere else on this list, which is the most honest recommendation we can give.

Men’s and women’s, a proper rummage rather than a curated rail, and open 9 AM to 10 PM.

General Information

  • Address: 69/1 Nguyễn Gia Trí, Thạnh Mỹ Tây
  • Google rating: 4.5 (44 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 9 AM–10 PM
  • Note: Nick’s most-visited shop on the list.
  • Open in Google Maps

Thảo Điền and An Phú

Thảo Điền’s vintage shops are newer, pricier and better lit. The upside is that THENORMAL has become one of the highest-rated thrift shops in the country.

18. THENORMAL Thriftshop

THENORMAL Thriftshop, vintage and thrift shop in Ho Chi Minh City
THENORMAL Thriftshop. Photo via Google Maps.

More than a thousand Google reviews, every one of them five stars. THENORMAL on Nguyễn Bá Huân is the Thảo Điền thrift shop, with a streetwear lean, clean racks and staff who will pull sizes for you. It is not on Nick’s original list, and it should have been.

Open 10 AM to 8 PM. Follow thenormal_thriftshop on Instagram for drop days, which sell out.

General Information

19. Rosebud Vintage

Rosebud Vintage Clothing is on Street 46 in the villa grid, a small women’s-leaning shop that has not yet collected enough Google reviews to rate. Nick has it down as ‘maybe just women’; the Instagram suggests he is right.

Worth pairing with THENORMAL, which is a five-minute walk away.

General Information

District 10

One destination shop that justifies the trip.

20. In Store Thriftshop & Vintage

Instore is the American-vintage specialist: vintage Carhartt, USA workwear, Stussy and Polo Sport, with more than 400 five-star reviews on Tô Hiến Thành. VICE picked up a 1990s YSL sweatshirt here for 700,000 VND.

Open 10 AM to 9 PM. Men’s-heavy, and the best place in the city for a chore jacket.

General Information

  • Address: 525/44 Tô Hiến Thành, Diên Hồng
  • Google rating: 5.0 (415 reviews)
  • Hours (Sun): 10 AM–9 PM
  • Instagram: @instore_vintageshop
  • Note: On Nick’s list as Instore_vintageshop.

Instagram-first sellers

Half of Saigon’s vintage trade never touches a shop floor. These accounts sell from their feeds, post drops at set times, and deliver by Grab. Some will let you come and try things on if you message first. Nick’s notes are in his own words.

  • Chats 87. There is a blazer in their feed that Nick is still thinking about. Location unconfirmed; message them on Instagram. Search the name on Instagram.
  • The Nutters Nook. Possibly not yet open, or just waking up. Watch the account. Search the name on Instagram.
  • Vintage Vietnam. Not yet visited. A general vintage account with regular drops. Search the name on Instagram.
  • My Duong Vintage. Women’s, by the look of the feed. Search the name on Instagram.
  • Map Thon. Instagram-only. Search the name on Instagram.
  • retros.boutique. ‘Looks savage’, in Nick’s words. Instagram-only. @retros.boutique
  • Coco Dressing Room. Likely women’s. Search the name on Instagram.

The markets the shops buy from

If you want the bales before they are curated, three secondhand markets do the sorting in public. Prices are a tenth of the shops’, and so is the hit rate.

  • Bà Chiểu Secondhand Market, 40 Diên Hồng, Bình Thạnh. 5 AM to 8 PM. Branded pieces, handbags, sunglasses and jewellery, mostly 100,000 to 190,000 VND.
  • Hoàng Hoa Thám Market, 19 Hoàng Hoa Thám, Tân Bình. 6 AM to 8 PM. Fifty-plus stalls of denim and bags; new bales land at the weekend, when prices peak at 60,000 to 200,000 VND, and drop to 10,000 to 20,000 VND by the end of the week.
  • Bàn Cờ Secondhand Market, 664 Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, District 3. 6 AM to 6 PM. Shoes, women’s clothing and handbags. Opening prices are inflated; negotiate.

Not vintage, but on the same streets

Two Saigon Scene partners sit in the middle of the Thảo Điền loop and take the app discount. MERAKI Record Store & Art Cafe on Street 43 sells new streetwear alongside a wall of vinyl and very good coffee, which makes it the natural halfway stop between THENORMAL and Rosebud. Saang Dresses on Đỗ Quang designs and makes everything in-house, for the day you want something nobody else has worn first. Members get 10% off at both.

Thrifting in Saigon: what to know before you go

  • Sizing runs small. Most stock was bought for Japanese or Korean bodies. Try everything on, and ignore the label.
  • Prices are fixed in shops, negotiable in markets. Curated shops price by piece and rarely move. At Bà Chiểu or Hoàng Hoa Thám, start at half.
  • Rough guide to prices. Graphic tees 150,000 to 400,000 VND. Denim 400,000 to 1,000,000 VND. Leather, varsity and technical jackets from one million up, and a good Avirex or Arc’teryx piece can be several.
  • Drops sell out on Instagram first. Every shop on this list posts new stock to its feed, usually at a set time each week, and the best pieces are reserved by DM before they reach the rail. Follow, then visit.
  • Pay by bank transfer. Cash works everywhere, but every shop has a QR code and most young owners prefer it. Cards are rare.
  • Go early in the week for markets, weekends for shops. Market bales land Friday and Saturday; shop drops tend to be weekend afternoons.
