Most guides to healthy food in Saigon are really lists of meal-prep subscriptions. That’s useful if you want a week of boxes delivered, and no use at all if you’re hungry now and want somewhere to sit down. This one covers both, and says which is which.
Nine places, all checked as trading in September 2026: five to eat in, two to shop at, and two that deliver a week at a time. Five of them give Saigon Scene members 10% off.

6 Le Van Mien, Thao Dien, Thu Duc
Open since 2019 and the most reliable healthy lunch in Thao Dien. Ingredients are sourced locally, the menu covers salads, smoothies and warm bowls, and it handles most dietary requirements without making a performance of it.
It is a proper sit-down room rather than a takeaway counter, which is why it works for a working lunch.
Order: a warm bowl rather than a cold salad — they do them better.

55/15 Le Thi Hong Gam, Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, District 1
A small plant-based kitchen down an alley in District 1, cooking Vietnamese food that happens to be vegetarian rather than vegetarian food that apologises for itself. The test is whether meat eaters finish their plates, and here they do.
Best value on this list if you’re eating in the centre of town.
Order: whatever the daily set is.
Members get 10% off at Rau Oi.
31 Dinh Tien Hoang, Da Kao, District 1
Built around Vietnamese avocado, which is one of the genuinely great local ingredients and is usually wasted on smoothies with condensed milk. Afrocado makes gelato-based desserts from it instead — vegan-friendly, and the rare healthy-ish pudding that is worth ordering on its own merits.
Order: the avocado gelato.

39A Nguyen Duy Hieu, Thao Dien, Thu Duc
Saigon’s first poke restaurant and still the one to beat. Counter service, you watch the bowl get built, and there are over twenty toppings — spicy salmon, octopus with wasabi mayo, avocado, fish roe. Two poke types with unlimited toppings runs about 190,000₫, and portions are not mean.
Order: spicy salmon base, and don’t be shy at the toppings.
42 Ly Tu Trong, District 1
Build your own bowl: pick a base, a protein, vegetables and sauce. Sous vide top blade beef, Norwegian salmon, cold soba, brown rice donburi. What sets it apart is that the nutritional information is published, so if you’re actually counting rather than gesturing at healthy eating, this is where to go.
Order: brown rice donburi with salmon.
123 Quoc Huong, Thao Dien, Thu Duc
A vegan grocery rather than a restaurant — the place to solve the problem properly if you cook at home and keep hitting the same wall in supermarkets. Plant-based staples, substitutes and snacks under one roof.
Members get 10% off at iVegan Supershop.
District 2
Made in Saigon by Mia, who started by experimenting with fruit and nut combinations and ended up with a granola that is genuinely different from the imported boxes — more nut, less sugar, and no filler.

475 Dien Bien Phu, District 3
The largest healthy meal-plan provider in the city. Weekly plans, delivered, no MSG and low sugar, with the menu rotating on a roughly sixty-day cycle so you don’t eat the same four dishes forever — which is the usual reason people quit these services in month two.
296 Co Bac, Co Giang Ward, District 1
Founded by a professional bodybuilder and a certified nutritionist, and built for people training to a number rather than eating healthily in general. Meals are made fresh daily and portioned to macros.
Relative to street food, yes. A bowl at Poke Saigon or Soumaki lands around 150,000–200,000₫, against 40,000₫ for a com tam. Meal plans work out cheaper per meal — usually 90,000–140,000₫ a serving depending on how many days you buy — which is why people training seriously use them.
The cheapest genuinely healthy option in the city is still a Vietnamese one: a plate of rice, greens and grilled protein from a com binh dan, or the daily set at Rau Oi. Prices checked September 2026.
Saigon Scene is based in Ho Chi Minh City. Every place here was checked as trading in September 2026 and addresses were verified rather than carried over from an older list. Several venues that appear on other healthy-eating round-ups have been left off because we could not confirm they are still operating — a closed restaurant is not a recommendation.
Saigon Scene partner venues are listed first within each section, and we say which ones they are. A place only makes the list if the food earns it.
