The best rooftop bar in Saigon this month is the oldest one. Saigon Saigon, on the 10th floor of the Caravelle, reopened on Monday 28 September 2026 after its renovation, and nowhere else puts you that close to the Opera House with a drink in your hand. For a proper sky bar, Chill Skybar on the 26th floor of AB Tower is still the benchmark, and for the highest view in the country, Blank on floors 75 and 76 of Landmark 81.

Every address uses the ward names that replaced the districts in 2025, and every time and price was checked against the bar’s own website or menu on 6 October 2026. 1. The Park Rooftop Bar & Lounge
5th floor, 20 Đỗ Quang Đẩu, Bến Thành Ward (formerly Phạm Ngũ Lão, District 1). Sunday to Thursday 5pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday 5pm to 2am.
The rooftop for people who want the backpacker quarter’s energy without drinking on a plastic stool on Bùi Viện. It sits on Đỗ Quang Đẩu, just off the noise of Bùi Viện, over three floors that run from a café downstairs to a lounge and an open rooftop at the top, and the signature list leans theatrical: the Flaming Scarlet is red wine, cherry and cranberry finished with a torch at the table. There is a short draft-cocktail list too, such as the Daily Fizz with gin, dill and ngò gai (sawtooth herb).
The food is bar food done properly: fried chicken, a cheeseburger or egg rolls at 160,000₫, a pork belly quesadilla at 180,000₫ and house fries at 80,000₫ on the January 2026 menu. Cocktail prices are not printed on their website, so ask before you order a round. It is the easiest rooftop on this list to combine with a walk down Bùi Viện.
2. Le Café des Stagiaires
8–10 Đường số 54, An Khánh Ward (formerly Thảo Điền, District 2). Opens 4pm daily, until midnight Sunday to Wednesday, 1am on Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday.
The neighbourhood rooftop of Thảo Điền: a French-Belgian bar and bistro above the Saigon River with Landmark 81 lit up across the water, and covered sections for when the rain comes in. It is a social bar rather than a cocktail temple, which is exactly why it fills up with people who live nearby.
Signature cocktails are 220,000₫ and Carlsberg or 1664 Blanc on draft is 60,000₫ for a small and 100,000₫ for a large. The weekday happy hour, until 7pm, is the reason to arrive early: Aperol Spritz or an espresso martini for 150,000₫ and a gin and tonic for 100,000₫. Those are their own menu prices, before VAT. Monday and Tuesday run a buy-one-get-one deal, and there is a student deal every day.
3. Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar, Caravelle
10th floor, Caravelle Saigon, 19–23 Lam Sơn Square, Sài Gòn Ward (formerly Bến Nghé, District 1). Daily from 4pm until late.
The rooftop with the history. Saigon Saigon was a haunt of the city’s elite and the foreign press in the 1950s and 1960s, when the Caravelle was one of the tallest buildings in town, and the view straight down onto the Opera House and Lam Sơn Square has not been beaten since, only out-climbed. It closed for renovation earlier this year and reopened on Monday 28 September 2026.
The relaunch brought two fixtures worth timing your visit around: the “Ritual 1959” cocktail trolley, mixed at your table every day from 5.45pm to 7.45pm with a DJ, and a live band from 8pm to 10.30pm Monday to Saturday (until 10pm on Sunday). The new menu prices were not online when we checked, so treat it as a five-star hotel bar and budget accordingly.
4. Chill Skybar
26th floor, AB Tower, 76A Lê Lai, Bến Thành Ward (formerly District 1). Daily 5.30pm to 1.30am.
Saigon’s original sky bar, open since 2011 and still the one most visitors mean when they say “rooftop bar in Saigon”. The deck wraps the tower, so one side looks over the low roofs of the old centre towards the river and the other faces the new towers, and the night gets louder as it goes, with DJs after dinner.
Signature cocktails are 350,000₫ plus service and VAT. The happy hour, 5.30pm to 8pm, is a combo rather than a discount: two cocktails and a snack for 590,000₫ plus tax, for guests who book or check in on social media. Dress up a little here: Chill is known for the strictest door on this list, so dress as you would for a smart restaurant and leave the shorts and flip-flops at the hotel.
5. Social Club Rooftop Bar, Hôtel des Arts
24th floor, Hôtel des Arts Saigon, 76–78 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Xuân Hòa Ward (formerly Ward 6, District 3). Monday to Thursday and Sunday 3pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday 3pm to 1am.
The best happy hour of the hotel rooftops: every day from 3pm to 7pm, everything by the glass is half price, including beer, cocktails, wine, spirits and gin and tonics, which makes sunset here better value than a ground-floor bar on Đồng Khởi. Tuesday is ladies’ night, 7pm to 10pm.
The rooftop is open-air with armchairs, a long bar and a glass bridge across to Centec Tower that is worth the walk on its own. The dress code is smart casual, and under-18s are welcome until 9pm, so it works for an early family drink too.
6. Pullman Rooftop Bar
Level 30, Pullman Saigon Centre, 148 Trần Hưng Đạo, Cầu Ông Lãnh Ward (formerly District 1). Daily 5pm to 1am, happy hour 6pm to 8pm.
The rooftop extension of Mad Cow Wine & Grill, and the one on this list with clear, reasonable prices. On the April 2026 menu, signature cocktails are 220,000₫, beer is 130,000₫ to 170,000₫ (including Vietnam’s own Belgo) and wine by the glass is 200,000₫ to 280,000₫. Add 5% service, 8% VAT and the alcohol levy on top.
From 30 floors up you look across to Bitexco and the river, and it is far less of a scene than the District 1 sky bars, which suits a quiet drink before dinner downstairs.
7. M Bar, Hotel Majestic
8th floor (new wing), Hotel Majestic Saigon, 1 Đồng Khởi, Sài Gòn Ward (formerly Bến Nghé, District 1). Daily 3pm to midnight.
Only eight floors up, and that is the point: the Majestic sits right where Đồng Khởi meets the river, so M Bar looks straight down the Saigon River at the boats and the lights of Thủ Thiêm rather than across at other towers. It is the most old-Saigon of the rooftops, with the 1925 hotel underneath you. The drinks list is on the hotel’s website but without prices in the text, and prices exclude service and VAT.
8. Above Sky Bar, Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint
19th floor, Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint, 59–61 Pasteur, Sài Gòn Ward (formerly Bến Nghé, District 1). Daily 8am to midnight.
The rooftop for any time of day. It opens at 8am, so it works for a coffee above the traffic or an afternoon out of the heat as well as a sunset drink, and the list covers signature cocktails, draft beer, wine and light snacks. It is simpler and calmer than the big sky bars, and a short walk from Nguyễn Huệ and the Opera House.
9. Twilight Sky Bar
12th floor, La Siesta Premium Saigon, 180–188 Lý Tự Trọng, Bến Thành Ward (formerly District 1). Daily 5pm to midnight.
A two-level hotel sky bar at a height that keeps you close to the street rather than above it: high enough for the view over the rooftops and park, low enough to still feel the city. It is a good choice for a date, quieter than Chill and a few minutes’ walk from Bến Thành Market. Prices are not published on its website.
10. Blank Sky Lounge, Landmark 81
75th and 76th floors, Landmark 81, 720A Điện Biên Phủ, Thạnh Mỹ Tây Ward (formerly Ward 22, Bình Thạnh). Serves from breakfast through to a last order at 11.30pm.
It bills itself as the highest sky lounge in Vietnam: an outdoor deck on the 75th floor of the 461-metre tower, with the whole city laid out below. Blank is a lounge rather than a party bar: coffee and pastries by day, cocktails, mocktails and sharing plates later. There is no dress code and, by its own say, no happy hour right now. Book a table for sunset on a weekend or expect a wait, because they only hold a booking for 15 minutes. Menu prices are not given in text on its website.
11. Banana Mama
102 Cống Quỳnh, District 1 (pre-2025 address). Phone 0901 837 641.
The cheap and cheerful one. A rooftop cocktail and burger bar a few blocks from Bùi Viện that also keeps a good Belgian list from the Duvel Moortgat stable: Vedett Extra White on tap is 100,000₫ and the Vedett IPA 120,000₫, which is less than a cocktail anywhere else on this page. It has no views to speak of compared with the towers, but it is a rooftop, it is relaxed, and nobody will look at your sandals.
What a rooftop night costs, and what to wear
On published menus in October 2026, a cocktail costs 220,000₫ (Pullman, Le Café des Stagiaires) to 350,000₫ (Chill Skybar) before tax, and hotel bars add 5% service and 8% VAT on top, so a 350,000₫ cocktail lands at roughly 400,000₫. A draft beer on a rooftop is 60,000₫ at Le Café des Stagiaires’ happy hour and 130,000₫ to 170,000₫ at the hotel bars. The cheapest way to do a famous rooftop is Social Club’s half-price glasses from 3pm to 7pm.
Dress codes are real at the top end. Chill Skybar has the strictest door, so skip the shorts and flip-flops. Social Club is smart casual. Blank, The Park, Le Café des Stagiaires and Banana Mama have no dress code to speak of. In the wet season (May to November) storms tend to roll in during the late afternoon, so check the sky before you book an outdoor table at sunset.
